When reviewing the blog for our class, known as: http://fluctuatingluminously.blogspot.com,
we were asked to compare which of the intros provided more of a ‘strike your
fancy’ kind of feeling. Well, for me, I
was more intrigued with the color palette and what it was trying to convey. I’m not familiar with Wes Anderson, or his
films, so I don’t quite know how the colors work to reflect the feeling of the
titles listed with the palette of each film.
Really, I don’t think that I ever associated a color palette with a film
other than maybe The Color Purple. The information is helpful, however, I’m more
pondering the possibilities of the translations of the color arrays.
The second intro (above) offers some insight, but I’m
really left not knowing what to think by looking at a very plain and ordinary
graph, combined with a picture of a cool snowfall with the sun peeking
through. The text asks me several
questions, but I’m afraid to think of answers, sure that they are not right. Now write about the “gut” impression, and
associate the title… Hmmm. The blueness
of the sky. My picture only shows me a
peek of the sky, so I’m not sure that we will see the same thing. My first focus is the shrubbery, then the
sun, and lastly what color the sky is – it is the layers from foreground to
background, I guess. We should make the
photo larger, graph smaller (if we use at all), and then attempt to argue about
the images and visuals, along with their values.
